On November 4, at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, AYR attended “Tending to the Child Within,” an interactive community event dedicated to exploring the childhood experiences that continue to shape who we are today.
The afternoon opened with a panel discussion led by Creating Space’s Chief Wellness Officer, renowned psychologist and author Dr. Jenny T. Wang, Ph.D. (@asiansformentalhealth). She was joined by an intergenerational group of voices including Dave Lu, Managing Director of Hyphen Capital; Ally Maki, Founder of Asian American Girl Club; Ethan Su, Executive Director of AAPI Youth Rising; and Gym Tan, Content Creator, who shared how tending to their childhood selves has shaped their journeys toward empowerment and healing.
This event cultivated a space for gentle reflection on what we may still be carrying and inspired transformation of old patterns into new strength, purpose, and empowerment. We are honored to have been a part of this incredible event.
