This past month’s board meeting was held on July 14 at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. Museum board members spoke to us about the museum’s mission and goals, history, and some of the programs they offer. During the AYR youth board meeting, board and board-in-training members met to discuss updates as well as upcoming plans and events.
A highlight was going on a tour of the Phoenix Kingdoms: The Last Splendor of China’s Bronze Age exhibition, where we learned about the story behind several exclusive national treasures from China. We then toured the contemporary art exhibit and we enjoyed seeing the diverse mediums and themes in the artwork and learning about the inspiring contemporary artists whose work was featured.
