The first-ever California Civil Rights Summit was a hit! The day was nothing short of transformative, serving as a space for advocates, community leaders, and artists to convene, share stories, and hope for our future. Through storytelling and vibrant cultural performances, we were reminded that the fight for civil rights is as much about honoring our humanity and showing up for each other.
The summit closed with former Black Panther and activist, Ericka Huggins, where she shared her experiences that led her to this work and what’s needed to sustain it as individuals and communities moving forward.
