With the increased wave of Asian hate crimes during the COVID-19 pandemic, I created this piece to represent how the misguided beliefs about the virus’ origin and subsequent instances of racial microaggressions negatively impacted mental health. I also call the viewer to recognize our responsibility to speak out against this injustice.
