Eloise’s Experience at the TAAF AAPI Youth Mental Health Summit

By Eloise Lee

I recently attended The Asian American Foundation’s “Beyond The Surface” mental health summit in San Francisco. The purpose of the summit was to better understand mental health among Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander youth. During the conference, we got split into different breakout rooms. I landed in the collage or intuitive cards room. There, we made cards that contained photos of things that we like. The card that I made has pictures of nature and wildlife. I chose these because it makes me happy when I’m with wildlife or when I’m outdoors. I also have a picture of a duck which is one of my favorite animals. Intuit Cards are a creative tool for self-reflection, connection and community bonding.
