Happy summer! Make Us Visible NY wanted to share an update about the inclusive history bill that they have been advocating for in NY – Bill S2547. As a reminder, this bill would require the teaching of Asian American, African American, Native American, and Latinx American history in all K-12 schools in NY state.
The legislative session has come to a close this year, but their bill still has one more year to go. They are hoping to get as many senators to co-sponsor the bill as possible before the start of the next legislative session.
