Teachers Workshop on Asian American Identity

August 26, 2024

We’re excited to share that the 1990 Institute is hosting an upcoming Teachers Workshop focused on the impact of immigration on the Asian American community, and we would love your help in spreading the word.  This will be our last workshop on Asian Americans in 2024.

This workshop is designed to provide educators with valuable insights into Asian American identity, exploring the historical context of immigration and its lasting effects on culture and identity across generations. Our goal is to equip teachers with the knowledge and resources they need to enrich their classrooms and foster a deeper understanding of Asian American experiences.

This is a unique opportunity for teachers to gain a deeper understanding of Asian American history and identity, which is essential for creating inclusive and informed educational environments. By participating, educators can enhance their appreciation and contribute to a more diverse and meaningful discourse in their classrooms.
