The APIA (Asian Pacific Islander American) Biography Project, a multi-community collaboration between the San Francisco Main Library and academic and community-based organizations, presents a family-oriented kickoff event for AANHPI Heritage Month on April 30th. This year’s 10th anniversary celebration turns the spotlight to distinguished APIA politicians and the election voting process.
Then in May, the APIA Biography Project website will feature activities, videos, and resources. “Wall of Fame” exhibits will also be showcased at the Children’s Center and Chinese Center. The first 50 children ages 12 and under will receive a goody bag upon completing a scavenger hunt at the Main Library.
Plus there’s also a new exhibit that will be installed, focusing on Asian Americans in the Arts & Activism: https://sfpl.org/exhibits/2023/04/29/dreaming-peoples-history
